Description

BVV (PVC-Insulated and Sheathed Rigid Copper Conductor Cable) is a multi-core or flat-sheathed cable with PVC insulation and an additional outer PVC sheath. It is designed for fixed installations requiring enhanced mechanical protection, moisture resistance, and durability. Common applications include indoor/outdoor wiring, electrical appliances, junction boxes, and industrial control systems.

1 Conductor
Material: High-purity electrolytic copper (Cu ≥ 99.9%)
Type: Solid (Class 1) or Stranded (Class 2)
Configuration: 2-core, 3-core, 4-core, or 5-core, arranged in parallel or flat formation.
Surface: Bare, annealed, and smooth.
Conductor Resistance: Complies with IEC 60228 (e.g., 12.1 Ω/km max for 1.5mm² at 20°C).
2 Insulation
Material: PVC (Type TI1), flame-retardant grade.
Thickness: Per IEC 60227 (e.g., 0.7mm nominal for 1.5mm²).
Color Coding: Core insulation colors: Red, Blue, Yellow/Green, Black, Brown, White.
3 Sheath
Material: PVC (Type TM1), abrasion-resistant and UV-stabilized.
Thickness: Minimum 0.8mm for 2-core cables, 1.0mm for 3-5 core cables (±0.1mm tolerance).
Color: Typically white, grey, or black.

Mechanical & Environmental Properties
Crush Resistance: Withstands ≥1000N/cm (IEC 60227-4 compression test).
Tensile Strength: Sheath ≥12.5 N/mm², Insulation ≥10.0 N/mm².
Elongation: Sheath ≥150%, Insulation ≥125%.
Bending Radius: ≥6× overall diameter (fixed installation).
Flame Retardancy: Passes IEC 60332-1 (Single vertical flame test).
UV Resistance: Suitable for outdoor use (sheath contains carbon black).
